THE SILENT OBSERVER

During the pandemic, I felt lost and uncertain about my identity as an artist. When my advisor asked me about my senior project, I took a deep dive into my passions and decided to create a documentary and devised movement piece about my parents and their journey through the art of pantomime.

I began conducting interviews during my junior year of undergraduate studies and progressed to writing a script. With the support of my cast, I was able to weave in movement and more nuanced dialogue, giving life to *The Silent Observer*. I directed and produced the piece, which follows three young native Puerto Ricans who leave the island to pursue their dreams of studying pantomime.
